Hail and Wind

Storm Damage Roof Repair in Tulsa

Photos, a straight repair-or-replace answer, and help with the adjuster if you file a claim.

After the hail or the wind, we look and we write it down

Tulsa roofs take hail and wind every season. The home page already describes how Roof Repair Plus handles those claims: we document the damage, provide a detailed inspection report, and work with your insurance adjuster. This page is that visit, in order, without a pitch bolted on.

David Hillard does the inspection. He is the owner, a veteran, and the person who will tell you whether the slope needs a repair or a replacement. Light work stays with him. Subcontractors do the heavy labor. The company is an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, and the shop is at 6971 E 71st St, Tulsa, OK 74133.

The storm inspection is free, same as the other roof inspections we list. If water is entering the house tonight, skip ahead and call from the emergency roof repair page. The number is 918-878-8027.

Photograph from the ground, then stop

Never climb on the roof after a storm. Wet shingles and damage you cannot see from the yard are a bad mix. Photos and video from the ground are the documentation step we already recommend, and they help the insurance file.

Storm signs we already look for

Pulled from the warning signs on the home page and the storm notes we publish: hail, wind, and the marks they leave.

Missing or damaged shingles
Cracked, curled, or torn shingle edges
Shingles on the ground
Granules collecting in the gutters
Dents in gutters or downspouts
Visible holes or cracks
Water stains on interior ceilings
Light penetrating through the roof

Photo documentation

Detailed photos are part of the inspection service. They go with the written notes when an adjuster is involved.

Adjuster coordination

We help with the insurance paperwork and work with your adjuster. The carrier decides what the policy pays.

Repair when that is the honest fix

Hail marks are not an automatic new roof. If a repair will hold, David will recommend the repair.

How a storm damage visit works

Hail and wind claims go better when the photos exist before everyone is standing in the driveway guessing. This is the sequence.

1

Right after the weather

Stay off the roof. From the ground, note missing shingles, granule piles in the gutters, dented gutters, and any ceiling stain. Photograph those if it is safe.

2

Call us, your insurer, or both

Either order is fine. Many homeowners have us inspect first so the report is ready. Many policies have a deadline for reporting damage, so do not sit on it for weeks.

3

David inspects and photographs

The inspection covers storm damage, hail, leaks, the deck, drainage, and spots that never show from the yard. You get the photos and a plain recommendation.

4

Repair or replacement

A few damaged shingles can be a repair. Shingles beaten across the field of the roof, or a deck that is no longer solid, can mean replacement. David says which, and why.

5

If you file a claim

We go over the documentation with you and work with the adjuster on the paperwork. We do not set the claim amount. If the roof is replaced, material options, including Owens Corning, are on the replacement page.

6

Who does the labor

David does light work. Subcontractors do heavy labor such as a tear-off. Sales and the inspection stay with him.
